MARLBOROUGH COUNTRY HOUSE

Chapter was commissioned at the point of purchase to undertake a feasibility study exploring a range of initial design approaches and potential levels of intervention for this private residential project in Wiltshire. Working closely with the client, the study explored multiple spatial layouts, incorporating existing furniture while considering the home’s long-term evolution. The brief focused on creating a modernised ground floor with connected living and kitchen spaces, alongside a first-floor master suite formed as a series of interconnected rooms. Using simple 3D visuals, strategic planning analysis, and high-level costings, the studio assessed structural opportunities, project priorities, and phasing, providing clarity, confidence, and a strong foundation for the next stage of works.
