dillington house
Chapter developed a feasibility study for the transformation of Dillington House in Somerset, part of the wider Dillington Estate. The Grade II* listed hospitality venue was seeking to optimise its historic halls in order to create a larger wedding space within the original house and reposition itself as a highly desirable event destination. This was accompanied by proposals for additional ceremony venues, alongside new sporting, recreational, and hospitality offering.
Central to Chapter’s approach was revised spatial planning informed by guest experience, operational flow, and a careful understanding of how the rooms interconnect. Integrating the house more cohesively within the wider Dillington Estate was also key to the thinking. Chapter’s response was a spatial design where the Great Room and Bridal Suite were reconfigured in dialogue with the building’s historic character.
