BATHWICK TOWNHOUSE
Chapter was commissioned to reimagine and reconfigure the layout of this Grade II listed private residence in Bath. The studio proposed a highly tailored intervention aimed at balancing contemporary living with authenticity, so as to maintain the character and integrity of the listed property.
The studio explored a myriad of spatial arrangements before reaching the optimised location for the kitchen, working within the constraints of the historic building and purposefully connecting it to the garden to maximise daylight.
The kitchen itself will be fully bespoke to ensure that the compact space is transformed into a more practical and richly detailed room, forming a central convivial hub within the home. Custom joinery and carefully integrated functionality bring intelligence to the space as well as a sense of artisanal warmth and depth.
